This filter is rated for an impressive 42,000 gallon capacity at 6.3 gallon per minute flow rate vs. Everpure 27,000 gallon capacity at 5 GPM. It is recommended to change this cartridge set annually or upon 42,000 gallon capacity. The PWF3200S is comprised of activated carbon which is compressed into a rigid carbon block. This design provides dirt / sediment filtration, taste odor chlorine adsorption and chemical removal.
